Music has always been a big part of the Hicks Family. Singer/songwriter Clinton Hicks is the father of Marla Hicks-Henderson and Aimee Hicks-Gray. Clint grew up in a very talented musical family, and at a very young age taught himself to play guitar. He is the son of Olan and Barbara Hicks. His mother, worked with her three children, Jeanne, Clint, and Chuck, who were singing in harmony before they were old enough to attend school. For many years the family sang together, as well as Chuck, Clint and Jeanne as a group.

Clint and his daughters, Marla and Aimee, are carrying on the family tradition of music and harmony. Clint has been blessed with a tremendous talent for song writing. He is a gifted musician, playing the guitar and bass guitar. Marla and Aimee picked up on singing harmony at a young age in church, and have always had the desire to sing on a professional level.

The goal of the Hicks Family is to move their audience through their music – to allow the words, the harmony, and the music to touch the hearts of those listening. It is their goal to share the love of God through song, and to inspire others to come to Christ.

The Hicks Family have had their share of trials and heartaches but the love of God is what got them through the valleys. In 2005, Marla and her husband lost twins during her 5th month of pregnancy. 4 months later Marla discovered a lump that would later be diagnosed as Stage 3 Breast Cancer. The family was told not to be hopeful, as her particular type of cancer was extremely aggressive – but this was not God’s prognosis!

In February of 2009, the Hicks family lost a young member of their family to suicide. Again, without God, this situation would have been unbearable.  God has always come through for this family. Again and again He has reminded them of their talents for music. With the Hicks family, what you will get is heartfelt singing, inspiration, and praise to God.  God has blessed our family, and we want to share that blessing and encouragement with others. This is what we’ve been called to do.

Clint is a minister/preacher, with over 43 years of experience. He holds multiple college degrees consisting of a BA in Bible, a Masters degree in Greek New Testament, and a Masters in Education. Clint has worked on multiple mission fields throughout the years. Clint has been married to his wife, Janice, for 40 years. Together, they have four children, Marla, Aimee, Matthew, and Carrie.
